August 6 2018 Hot weather has forced the earliest grape harvest ever for growers in Germany with this years grape harvest officially starting on Monday in a vineyard in Lorzweiler near Mainz German Wine Institute officials say this is the earliest start of harvesting in Germany to date So far the earliest start has been on 8 August in 2007 2011 and 2014 and last year the harvest began
