California Startup Invited To Present To United Nations

San Jose, Calif.—St. Stephen Vineyards, LLC (SSV) announced its´ presentation at the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid, on the topic of “How Businesses Can Maximize Impact on Mitigating Climate Change”. The conference serves as the annual formal meeting of the UNFCCC Parties to assess progress in dealing with climate change, and to establish legally binding obligations for developed countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and to create a general path towards positive climate action. Greta Thunberg will also be addressing this conference.

The conference is designed to take the next crucial steps in the UN climate change process. The conference furthermore serves to build ambition ahead of 2020, the year in which countries have committed to submit new and updated national climate action plans. Crucial climate action work will be taken forward in areas including finance, the transparency of climate action, forests and agriculture, technology, capacity building, loss and damage, indigenous peoples, cities, oceans and gender.

St. Stephen Owner Tim Edwards will be making the presentation, and said, “Our involvement began with our submission earlier this year to the UN Climate Change secretariat´s Momentum for Change initiative to recognize innovative and transformative solutions that address both climate change and wider economic, social and environmental challenges. We are honored to have been invited to present at the United Nations Conference Climate Change Conference COP 25 Action Hub. We are eager to contribute to a solution.“

The stage will be webcast, and videos of events will be streamed live before being made available on-demand on the website. St. Stephen Vineyards’ presentation will be at 15:00 December 3, 2019 in Madrid.
