Amongst the first of Santa Lucia Highlands' vineyards to be SIP Certified, Steve McIntyre's 60-acre property boasts some of the AVA’s oldest Pinot Noir--own-rooted for 48 years--and Chardonnay. Overseeing 20% of SLH's producing vines, his Monterey Pacific firm farms 14,000 acres in Monterey County making him one of the Central Coast's largest, most knowledgeable vintners. "The significant and immutable part of SLH's terroir is wind arriving like clockwork near 1pm slowing the grapes' sugar production. This allows polyphenols--aromas and flavors--to develop at a slower and more even rate. Our summer nights are also very mild giving us a great pH/acid balance." A new gravity-fed winery at the vineyard's edge will open in May.

A medium bodied crisp textured wine with aromas of Citrus, Brioche and Fresh Baked Bread. We recommend it served with Marcona almonds, bacon, or a Roast Chicken. This is a delicious Blanc de Noirs from 100% Pinot Noir. It spent 4 years aging on its Lees to give it its wonderful qualities.
