Sonoma Floods: Please Help The Pax Wines Facility

Posted: Mar 03, 2019

Go-Wine is sending this to all to ask if you might help the Pax Wines Facility in Sonoma County. Please share this with your trade partners, distributors and consumers. It is important to get the word out. You may share directly from our platform using the social media icons or by forwarding this on through email. Thank you.

Sonoma County we are always with you.

Sonoma County is currently in a state of emergency after the Russian River rose 34 feet over two days, reaching 12 feet above flood stage. The damage to surrounding communities is extensive and our friends at the Pax Wines facility (housing also Jolie-Laide Wines, Jaimee Motley Wines, RAEN Winery, Martha Stoumen Wines, and Ardure) in Sebastopol are among those affected. In addition to losses from flood damage, all activities at the winery and tasting room have been put on indefinite hold, we don't have to tell you what that means for their businesses.

Pax and Pam Mahle were among the first to take action after the devastating wildfires in 2017. With their partnership, Sara Morgenstern and I created WSCWR, raising over $250K to benefit wildifre victims. Now it's our turn to help them. Whether you can contribute a lot or a little doesn't matter, let's all pitch in to get them back on their feet.

With gratitude,
Patrick

Here's how you can help...
If you're a consumer:
Whether you've been following the wines of Pax over many years or are new to the label, if you enjoy these wines please consider making a monetary donation to our GoFundMe page. Then go ahead and crack open a bottle of Pax to make room in your cellar for a few more, the website is open and taking orders so make sure to stock up. Last but not least, hop on social media to help spread awareness!

If you're in the industry:
Serving Pax or affiliates by the glass or bottle? Donate a portion of sales to our GoFundMe! We'll leave it up to you to figure out the best way your wine program can raise funds, just tally up your totals at the end of a sales period and contribute to our fundraising campaign.

Questions? Ideas? Reach out to Patrick Cappiello at pcappiello@me.com.
Thank you for your generosity as we work to get the Pax crew back on their feet!
