The Benziger family has been making Pinot Noir for decades, manly from grapes in their home county of Sonoma. This Monterey offering represents great value and the best of the 'California style' of Pinot Noir. The Benzigers were brave in putting this wine in a screwcap (like their New Zealand winemaking brethren) but then again it is sustainably farmed under the 'Farming for Flavors' grape growing program, certified by Stellar Certification Services.

This is one of the softest, most luscious Pinot Noirs that you will come across this vintage. It is rich with cherries and raspberries in the nose and mouth. Forest floor in the back of the mouth on the palate , all wrapped up with a medium length bouquet of those cherries.
